 Saurabh Srivastava Bio

Saurabh Srivastava is one of India’s leading entrepreneurs and institution builders. He is widely acknowledged in India and globally, as one of the architects of the Indian IT Industry, and as leading force in the creation of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in India. In March this year PM Modi presented him an Award for contribution to the Indian IT Industry.

He is a cofounder and past Chairman of NASSCOM, NASSCOM Foundation and the Indian Venture Capital Association, Chairman Emeritus of TIE Delhi-NCR and on theNational Executive Committees FICCI.

 He founded several successful IT companies, of which one was ranked amongst the top 20 Indian software companies and, post merger, listed as Xansa on the London stock exchange with revenues of approx US $ 800 mill till it was acquired by Steria. He has since founded/invested in over 50 start up ventures and serves in a non exec capacity on boards of both private and publicly listed companies in the UK, Singapore and India such as YES Bank, Naukri.com, Xchanging plc.

 Saurabh co-founded India's first & extremely successful Venture Capital fund in the private sector, Infinity (creating companies such as India Bulls and Avendus) and also founded the Indian Angel Network (IAN), India's first & possibly the world’s largest angel group with over 360 members, comprising the who's who of successful Indian entrepreneurs and CEOs, with operations in 7 cities (including London) and a portfolio of 100 companies. The London Chapter was launched by PM David Cameron with Saurabh at 10 Downing Street , with Ministers such as Oliver Letwin, Iain Livingstone, Vice Cable and Chancellor of the Exchequer also present

Saurabh has a Masters from Harvard University and a B Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
